From just five-year-old vines, I did not expect this level of depth and complexity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAged 22 months in barrel, including 15% new oak, this wine shows what Peter Gamble and his team were able to achieve in this very compelling vintage on the Twenty Mile Bench.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the nose, it is earthy and mossy, with notes of forest floor, potpourri, dried cranberry, crushed raspberry, and blue plum. Tobacco, cedar, and oak spice also begin to reveal themselves with air.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe palate is lifted, layered, and textural, impressively complex, showing flavours of ripe, sweet raspberry, cranberry, red currant, dark cherry, sweet tobacco, and a hint of graphite.
