A beautifully aged Merlot. One of my favorite’s wines. This is very well integrated, just like the oak profile. I would say this wine has entered its prime window of drinkability. Well rounded, well balanced, and includes fruits from their home vineyard on the Nararmata Bench and from another pristine vineyard in Penticton – the Lazy Dog Vineyard. An earthy nose of cassis, cedar, forest floor, plum and dry Provencal herbs are announcing a wine with power and richness, but also elegance and distinction. The palate displays red and black currants, plum, blackberry, cedar, vanilla and savoury herbs. The pencil shaving is also perceivable in the texture and the spices the finish is absolutely stunning!
