2021 Clos du Soleil “Celestiale” Red Blend

Smooth, soft, fruity, approachable, modern and super delishhhh, this wine has everything needed to be a crowd favourite. Each varietal is fermented separately in concrete and spend around 15months in French oak, with just a splash of new (only 12% of the juice hit new barrels).  The nose offers aromas of cassis, black cherry, plum, cedar and hints of fresh herbs. This wine is Merlot dominant but also includes the other 4 classic Bordeaux varietals. While this is the baby brother of the Iconic Clos du Soleil flagship wine “Signature,” it delivers much more than just the second fiddle. The palate is generous and easy going, offering a nice mix of ripe red fruits and dark fruits, vanilla, chocolate and pencil lead. The finish is bright and satisfying highlighting a long-lasting white pepper sensation and a bright acidity. I REALLY like this wine…to buy by the case. 1,573 cases made.
