This wine is round but crisp at the same time offering a great middle ground between approachability and complexity. I definitely enjoy the “pop” and the flavour definition here, and the slight usage of oak (part of the juice was fermented in large French oak puncheons) certainly adds an extra dimension to this well made and super enjoyable aromatic white blend. The aromas absolutely jump out of your glass with clear grapefruits, lemon and fresh herbs while the palate is soft and smooth, offering flavours of lime juice, lemon zest, grapefruits and other crunchy exotics fruits like passionfruit and guava. This wine totally over delivers its price-point, and the combination of vibrant acidity and smooth texture makes it a big winner in the $25 price category. Perhaps their best Fume Blanc to date.
