2022 Da Silva “Vinho Branco” | 90pts

The 2022 Vinho Branco field blend showcases a great balance between acidity and nerve versus roundness and texture, although just a tad softer than the previous vintage. On the nose, this wine is floral at first followed by aromas of citrus and orchard fruits. On the palate, the flavours of lime, cara cara orange and lemon zest arrive on the front palate, followed quickly by a burst of peach and nectarine in the middle. The return of citrus peel, lemon zest and green apple at the end close the experience with a nice tartness and makes your mouth water until the next sip. Very approachable and complex enough. This wine has evolved quiet well since the last time tasted, which led me to bump up the score from 89+ to 90 (Carl Boucher, February 23, 2025).
