2021 Bachelder “Lowrey - Old Eastern Block” Pinot Noir

This very special 2 acre block of 35 year old vines on the St. David’s Bench delivers incredible minerality and “World Class” structure. On the nose, floral and herbal aromatics like dried violet, forest floor, wet rock and dried thyme but also some red fruit components like cranberry, strawberry and pomegranate. The palate is energetic and directional offering young feisty tannins and mouth-watering acidity. Flavours of wild raspberry, bright cherry, mint, black licorice and charcoal-like sensations are set in a perfect sequence before offering a top-level complexity on the spicy and mineral finish.
