2021 Blasted Church Cabernet Sauvignon

Well, Blasted Church has managed to perfectly ripen these Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Osoyoos, so that the balance, structure and flavour definition becomes the centerpiece of this wine. The nose is very classic Cabernet Sauvignon, offering aromas of black currant, blackberry, black cherry, cedar tobacco and pencil lead. The palate has volume and texture, but also richness and definition, the tannins are already soft, and the acidity is shining, highlighting the great winemaking work on balance and purity. Flavours of dark cherry, dark plum, sweet tobacco leaves and mint chocolate, plus a charcoal-like minerality aspect on the mid-palate. The finish lingers well beyond expectations for a $36 Cab, which make this wine a great value purchase. 1,600 cases made.
