2016 Vineland “Elevation” Cabernet Bo-Teek Vineyard

This wine is in its prime and shining graciously! The texture is so soft and silky and the tannins are smooth with a perfect ratio of intensity and energy. On the nose the cherry, blackberry, and blueberry fruit aromas are laced with floral and black pepper spice notes. This is no pushover wine! It’s superbly integrated, has restraint without being overtly powerful and a nice acidity remains even after 8 years. The mouthfeel is soft and plush leading with a great balance of dark fruits like dark cherry and blackberry, licorice, coffee, vanilla, cedar and a long spicy finish. The 2016 vintage was a fantastic one in Niagara and this red blend shows all the grace and potential of a warm and powerful vintage.
