This wine shouldn't exist anymore. But some was discovered in the Vineland warehouse and Carl's Wine Club is the happy recipient of this treasure. OMG. $19.95 all in for this six year old wine that's aging beautifully...what a deal!!! While Vineland tends to produce modern style reds, this 2019 is much more old world Bordeaux-esque. More earthiness, more herbaciousness, low alcohol and firm tannins (at this stage) which is impressive and exciting. While the nose is on dark fruits and herbaciousness, the palate delivers softness in the opening, tannins and complexity on the back end. Highlighted by flavours of blackcurrant, dark cherries, oak spice and Mediterranean herbs. If you get this bottle, you're up for a treat in the next couple of years! Only 10 cases available.Â
