I absolutely love the oak delivery here - bang on! This wine boasts great texture, soft tannins, and tremendous length. Sourced entirely from the warm Cabana Estate Vineyard on the southeast bench in Osoyoos, this Malbec is rich, fruity, and powerful. Now entering its prime window of drinkability, it offers the perfect balance of blue and red fruits, reminiscent of classic high-altitude Argentinian Malbec. On the nose, vibrant aromas of red cherry, black raspberry, red licorice, blueberry, black tea, and fresh sage create an enticing bouquet. The palate mirrors these aromas to a T, with the addition of a distinct charcoal-like minerality and a long, oak-spiced finish. I’m excited about how this wine will evolve over the next four years.
