With fruits mostly sourced from the Laundry Vineyard, this wine shows real fruit character after fermentation in stainless steel tanks and quick bottling right after. The aromas deliver a true Riesling profile with loads of citrus up front followed by white flowers and just a hint of “petrol,” which enhances the typicity of the grape varietal. The palate is well layered between the citrus and the orchard fruits, where lime and green apple intermingle with lemon zest, apricot and peach. The bright acidity level balances the 13 grams of residual sugar very well, and some residual is left at the end delivering a sour-candy-like finish. There’s also a chalky sensation on the back-end that helps bring seriousness back into this slightly off-dry Riesling. (Carl Boucher, October 9, 2024).
