This dry Malbec rose is luscious and bright, with a gorgeous deep colour and a stoney profile that I can also perceive in the red version of the same vintage: this is real terroir definition. On the nose, aromas of red currant, pomegranate, red cherry, sage, licorice and pencil lead. There is a noticeable complexity in that wine that challenges my senses and stimulates my inner Somm. The palate is deep, textural and creamy, highlighting flavours of fresh strawberry, red cherry, citrus, pomegranate. Of course it finishes with great, savoury length. The same graphite/pencil lead sensation perceived on the nose comes back on the finish in the form of a charcoal-like sensation. (Carl Boucher, July 30, 2024).
