This is the best of the three—and maybe one of BC’s finest Pinot Noirs. Concentrated, vibrant, and complex, it falls perfectly in line with the 2020 vintage and reflects the house style pursued by the outstanding winemaker Alison Moyes. As with the other Pinots, she works with seven different clones at her disposal: 115, 667, 777, 828, 943, Pommard, and Swan. The wine sees around 30% new oak and spends 12 months aging, allowing both structure and elegance to develop. On the nose, it’s highly expressive, offering red cherries, raspberry, blue plum, vanilla, an earthy undertone, and a subtle floral undertone. The palate is absolutely exquisite, with a gorgeous texture, a bright acid frame, and once again, that signature line of graphite minerality bursting past the mid-palate. It all leads to a long, bright, and complex finish, where oak spice currently plays a noticeable role—though this will soften beautifully as the wine integrates over time.
