This is a great wine to drop into your evening at the end of a meal. Complex, sensual and very well balanced, this Madeira style fortified wine made with 100% Chardonnay is a real delight. With control oxidation and barrel aging for 6 years, the aromas of this wine deliver expressive tones of roasted nuts, sweet orange zest and caramel. At 15.9% alcohol it offers nice acidity to balance the 28 grams of residual sugar. A versatile drink that can even been served as an aperitif – but personally I prefer this type of wine for after the meal. On the palate, flavours of dried orchard fruits like apricot, nectarine and orange peel, hazelnut, cream brulee and caramel. The richness is impressive and the length develops a nice array of Christmas spices like cloves, dried ginger and nutmeg. At this great price for a 375ml…why not!!!
