2021 Vineland Pinot Meunier “Reserve” Charmat Method

After falling in love with the 2020 version of this exceptional wine, the 2021 follow-through with a similar delivery and similar flavour profile. This Pinot Meunier made with the “good old” Charmat method, represents the potential of this French grape varietal, most commonly used in the production of Champagne blended with Chardonnay and/or Pinot Noir. On the nose, this wine offers a great mix of floral and red fruits aromas including violet, red cherry, pomegranate, and poached ambrosia apple. The palate displays some richness and balance between sweetness and acidity. Flavours of red cherry, tart raspberry and candied apple are dominant and tell the perfect story of this uber interesting sparkling. A spark of freshness lingers on the finish which makes this wine even more quenchable.
