The new release of Calm the Franc Down is right in line with the Bella Terra house style and the original purpose of this wine: approachable, crowd pleasing and easy drinking wine! Fred and his team definitely accomplished their goal again with the 2022 vintage. On the nose, you’ll discover aromas of plum, dark cherry, violet, dried thyme and mocha, which clearly announce a high percentage of Cab Franc in the blend. The palate delivers a well layered and fruity profile with soft tannins, a rich mid-palate, alongside a surprisingly long finish. Dominant aromas of dark plum, dark cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate and loads of oak spices highlight a versatile and elegant red blend. A "buy by the case" type of wine!
