Sourced from Chardonnay fruit grown in the reputable Rattlesnake Hills AVA of Washington State, this Okanagan Falls wine was crafted with care and attention to detail to showcase the very best of its origins. Fermented in stainless steel, with half the wine aged in French oak barrels—including one new French Mercury Barrel (10% new oak)—it delivers a broad and lush white, with aromas of pear, peach, freshly cut herbs, vanilla, and toasted oak spices. Right away, you can sense a touch more oak influence (from texture and spices) than the usual house style suggests. On the palate, matching flavours of juicy peach and pear, also lemon oil, and poached spiced apples unfold gracefully, with a line of tart lime peel carrying through past the mid-palate. A lively burst of white pepper lights up the long, pulsing finish. Lively and energetic, this wine surprises with its bright, vibrant acidity—keeping everything well-defined and stretching the finish out beautifully. (Carl Boucher, April 12, 2025)
