New Winery. Insane Scores. Pinot Obsession. Enough Said.
Discover solvero, in Summerland, BC's Garnet Valley
You’re about to do what most wine lovers only dream of…
Discover a world-class winery before the rest of the world catches on.
Because Solvero isn’t just new.
It’s that once-in-a-blue-moon kind of winery—
Where a seasoned winemaker with a cult following quietly disappears into the hills above Summerland, plants 7 clones of Pinot by hand through bedrock, and crafts wines that make critics do a double take.
94 points right out of the gate.
Tiny production.
And releases so exclusive, even the winery doesn’t have them listed.
This week only, you’re invited to get your hands on:
a 3-year vertical of Pinot Noir
Chardonnay that rivals the legends
Two Rosés — one crafted with Oregon fruit after BC’s historic frost
One of the best Pinot Gris I've found from BC
But let’s be clear:
These wines are only available here while supplies last...most likely until early on Monday April 28.
A rare window to grab wines most collectors will never even hear about.
Claim your Solvero wines now before they’re gone.
Because in a few weeks, everyone will be asking where you found them.
And you’ll just smile.
Cheers to your wine discoveries!

Solvero
2022 Solvero Pinot Noir | Exclusive Pre-release 🔥 94pts
94
- BC VQA Okanagan Valley
- 100% Pinot Noir
This is the best of the three—and maybe one of BC’s finest Pinot Noirs. Concentrated, vibrant, and complex, it falls perfectly in line with the 2020 vintage and reflects the house style pursued by the outstanding winemaker Alison Moyes. As with the other Pinots, she works with seven different clones at her disposal: 115, 667, 777, 828, 943, Pommard, and Swan. The wine sees around 30% new oak and spends 12 months aging, allowing both structure and elegance to develop. On the nose, it’s highly expressive, offering red cherries, raspberry, blue plum, vanilla, an earthy undertone, and a subtle floral undertone. The palate is absolutely exquisite, with a gorgeous texture, a bright acid frame, and once again, that signature line of graphite minerality bursting past the mid-palate. It all leads to a long, bright, and complex finish, where oak spice currently plays a noticeable role—though this will soften beautifully as the wine integrates over time. This wine easily has a decade of aging potential, if not more.
Dry | 13.0% ABV | Drink from 2026 to 2032

2021 Solvero Pinot Noir | Exclusive Release | 92pts
92
- BC VQA Okanagan Valley
- 100% Pinot Noir
While the 2020 and 2022 vintages of this wine share a similar style, the 2021 stands out as an outlier in the vertical. Bolder, richer, and more textural, it’s also more expressive—bringing forward a distinct herbaceous character not as present in the other two. The nose is layered with dried basil, thyme, and violet, complemented by notes of plum, blueberry, and black licorice. The palate is weightier and more textured than its predecessor, with nearly 1% more alcohol, yet it retains the signature line of graphite minerality that defines the mid-palate and beyond. Flavours of blue and black plum, crushed raspberry, brambleberry, and a dominant note of white pepper drive a powerful and lingering finish. Different in style, but equally satisfying—an impressive showing from a challenging vintage for winemakers across the Okanagan.

Solvero
2020 Solvero Pinot Noir | 92pts
92
- BC VQA Okanagan Valley
- 100% Pinot Noir
Very classic in style, this Pinot Noir comes from a strong vintage that delivered plenty of heat units for the varietal. It spent 12 months in French oak barrels, with a healthy 33% new oak, adding depth and structure. Fruity with a touch of earthiness, this is a medium-bodied Pinot that shines with an outstanding line of minerality that kicks in just past the mid-palate. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of crushed raspberry, red cherry, ripe cranberry, mocha, a subtle floral note, and a hint of wet forest floor. The bouquet announces a wine of elegance and finesse, supported by a bright, acid-driven backbone—more Oregon-style than Burgundian, I’d say. The palate is soft, balanced, and complete, with beautifully integrated oak. You’ll find flavours of fresh black raspberry, blue plum, ripe strawberry, and a touch of tobacco, all leading into a wonderfully long, lasting finish. The 2020 and 2022 vintages are showing a remarkably similar profile—what I’d confidently start calling the Garnet Valley style of Pinot Noir.

2023 Solvero Pinot Gris | 91+pts
91.5pts
- BC VQA Okanagan Valley
- 100% Pinot Gris
Dry | 13.4% ABV | Drink from 2025 to 2028
Sourced from two single vineyards in Summerland—Kozuki Family Vineyards and Happy Valley Vineyard—this Pinot Gris was fermented half in neutral French oak barrels and half in stainless steel tanks, striking a beautiful balance between purity and texture. This is a crushable yet structured wine, with seamless edges and a flow that just feels right. It's fruity with a mineral streak, and definitely not your average, forgettable Pinot Gris. On the nose, you'll find aromas of peach, pear, honeydew melon, and a hint of vanilla, with a gentle savoury edge that adds depth and complexity as it opens up. The palate is beautifully balanced, offering flavours of Okanagan peach, pear, Rainier cherry, and Gala apple, with a spark of white pepper on the finish that stretches the profile and leaves a lasting impression. I’m confident this wine will age gracefully for at least five years—no question.

Solvero
2023 Solvero Rosé | 91pts
91pts
- BC VQA Okanagan Valley
- 100% Pinot Noir
This rosé has a beautiful sense of purity and freshness, even a full year after its release. Made entirely from Summerland Pinot Noir—with most of the fruit coming from Garnet Valley—this crisp, dry rosé is complex without being overly cerebral, and greatly enjoyable on a sunny day. The nose is elegant, showing aromas of strawberry, blood orange, red cherry, and a hint of dried basil. On the palate, it offers a vibrant mix of orchard fruit and red berries, lifted by a crisp acid backbone and a soft, silky texture. The finish lingers longer than expected, with notes of salty minerality and a subtle touch of white pepper on the tip of the tongue.

2024 Solvero Rosé | 90+pts | Exclusive Pre-Release
90.5
- Crafted in BC
- 100% Pinot Noir
From the Aesbisher Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of Oregon, this unique vintage of Pinot Noir Rosé was born out of necessity—following the dramatic frost event that hit the Okanagan Valley in January 2024. To continue producing wine in 2024, Alison sourced Pinot Noir from a family estate in Oregon, allowing her to preserve the style she typically makes with Summerland fruit. Softer in acidity and rounder on the palate, this Rosé was one of the standouts in my “Crafted in BC” tasting in early April. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of cherry blossom, hibiscus, and rose, interwoven with notes of strawberry, watermelon, and citrus. The palate is crisp and fresh, with flavors of white flower, strawberry, and melon. A refreshing acidity ties it all together, leading to a clean and lively finish.

The Story & People Behind Solvero

It started, like many great wine stories do, with a single glass of Pinot Noir.
Back in 2012, one taste of a cool-climate Pinot set something in motion for the Sartor family. A quiet conviction. A vision. A promise: to find the perfect vineyard site in the Okanagan that could deliver world-class Pinot Noir—and do it with honesty, balance, and truth in every bottle.
What followed wasn’t easy. It never is. Years of searching. Dozens of properties crossed off the list. Until a 25-acre hidden gem revealed itself in the Garnet Valley, just above Summerland.
Remote. Rugged. So steep and rocky they had to auger through bedrock by hand to plant the vines.
But the soil? Glacial. Mineral-rich. Untouched. Pure.
They planted seven clones of Pinot Noir across five blocks. Chardonnay came next. And the dream of Solvero—Latin for truth in soil—was born.
But even the best vineyards need the right hands to translate them into something unforgettable. And that’s where Alison Moyes comes in.
If you’ve followed BC wine, you’ve seen her fingerprints on some of the Okanagan’s most celebrated bottles—at Liquidity, Stoneboat, and Osoyoos LaRose, to name just a few.
What you might not know is that she started not in wine, but in microbiology. Her first love was the science behind the fermentation. Her second? The art of pairing wine and food. And by the time she graduated with honours in Oenology and Viticulture from Brock University—thesis in Sensory Science, naturally—there was no turning back.
Over the last 14 years, Alison’s built a reputation for crafting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with elegance, texture, and tension. Wines that stop you mid-sip.
So when Solvero came calling, she didn’t just say yes. She said: Let’s make something that truly reflects the land.
Together, they’ve built more than a winery. They’ve built a philosophy. A working farm where chickens roam, forests are preserved, and polyculture defines the vineyard life. A place where biodiversity and balance aren’t buzzwords—they’re a lived reality.
And now, after years of quiet planning and patient winemaking, Solvero’s first full release is here.
The critics are already paying attention, including a rare 94 points from yours truly.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
But the real story is in the glass.
In the texture. The minerality. The unmistakable Garnet Valley signature.
And in the fact that many of these wines are exclusive to this offer, this week only.
This isn’t just a new winery. It’s the one you’ll be proud to say you discovered first.
