Discover your next favourite BC wines!

with rare mixed packs from member favourite wineries

I taste over 1,200 Canadian wines per year so you can shortcut to the most exciting discoveries!

With the deep freeze of 2024, you'll see less and less BC wines available. It created a vintage gap - with only about 15% of wineries having enough to produce ANY wine in 2024. Most wineries sourced grapes from other places outside of BC.

So, I've put together bundles of 100% BC wine for you to try...while you can still find them! These wines rated 90-94 points and all carry exceptional value for dollar.

Here is your chance to discover rare BC wines from different wineries and enjoy what could be your next favourite wine!

Cheers,
Carl

Here's exactly why these wines are rated so highly...

2022 Maverick “Bush Vines” Syrah 🔥 93+pts

BC, VQA Okanagan Valley
100% Syrah | Dry (2.1g/L RS) | 13.5% ABV
93+pts Carl's Wine Club

Another year, another fantastic Bush Vines Syrah. This is becoming one of the greatest little-known secrets of the Okanagan Valley. I tasted the Maverick Bush Vines Syrah for 4 years in a row now, and every single time, it reminds me of how consistently good it is - but also maintains the excitement of vintage variation. 2022 brought a cool spring and a late start in this Golden Mile vineyard, but the warm and very long growing season tends to deliver wines with finesse and tremendous flavour definition, and that’s what the latest release of the Bush Vines offers. On the nose, aromas of black cherry, raspberry jam, a meaty component enhanced by violets and fresh herbs, with a hint of coffee and tobacco. The palate is directional, fresh, precise and fantastically expressive, showing great ripeness and generosity. Flavours of black cherry, blueberry pie, dark plum, expresso coffee, a hint of dried sage and a wonderful graphite sensation blended with a lingering white pepper finish. Every year, this wine blows me away, and the 2022 vintage is no different. This is also one of the best priced Syrahs on the market - perhaps the very best at this price point. (Carl Boucher, November 8, 2024). Only 260 cases made.

2022 Black Market “Zoetermeer Vineyard” Merlot 🔥 93pts

BC, Okanagan Valley, Kaleden
100% Merlot | Dry (2.8 g/L RS) | 13.6% ABV
93pts Carl's Wine Club

Absolutely WOW. A new addition to the Black Market portfolio, this single-vineyard Merlot comes from the Zoetermeer Vineyard, located just minutes from the winery. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits, leafy herbs, cedarwood, and earthy white truffle emerge beautifully. Medium to full-bodied, this wine offers a rich, pure, and layered mouthfeel with an elegant texture, solid balance, and outstanding length. The palate unfolds in a stunning sequence of blue plum, cassis, strawberry jam, black currant, dark chocolate, and sweet tobacco leaves, leading to a bold finish with a generous hit of cracked black pepper. The tannins are still sticky and slightly aggressive, but this aspect should soften over the next two years. Give this wine a 30-minute decant, and you’ll experience the pure magic of Okanagan Merlot. (Carl Boucher, February 23, 2025). 85 cases made.

Food pairings: beef roast and roots vegetable in red wine sauce, grilled lamb chops.
Drink between 2026 and 2032

2022 Tightrope “Rubis” Pinot Noir 🔥 Gold Medal

BC, Okanagan Valley, VQA Naramata Bench
100% Pinot Noir | Dry | 12.2% ABV
92pts, Gold, WineAlign

If light, fruit-centric and easy to drink Pinot noir is your bag then this is the perfect one for you. A ripe tiny wild strawberry, creamier rather than grippy, almost no tannins to speak of. Drink this crushable style straight away.
(Michael Godel, WineAlign 2024).

Winemakers notes: The grapes are processed immediately: de-stemmed, but not crushed, directly into small half ton fermenters where they were cold soaked for five days, before a wild ferment commenced. In total the grapes spent about 21 days on skins before being pressed. The wine was aged in French Oak barrels, 30% new, for 10 months before being bottled. Only 251 cases made.

Food pairings: mushroom pasta, veal scaloppini

2023 Da Silva “Hidden Hollow Vineyard” Chenin Blanc 🔥 92+pts

BC, Okanagan Valley, VQA Naramata Bench
100% Chenin Blanc | Dry | 13.5% ABV
92+pts Carl’s Wine Club, 91pts Gismondi

This single-vineyard Chenin Blanc has developed a cult following over the last few years. Freshness, energy, minerality, complexity—this wine has it all.
The Hidden Hollow Vineyard, located on the Naramata Bench, has become one of the premier sources of Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc in the entire Okanagan Valley. The burst of minerality in this wine is likely the main reason for its growing reputation. On the nose, expressive aromas of lemon, lime, honeydew melon, passion fruit, orange peel, and ginger create a seductive and intriguing bouquet—both sexy and compelling. The palate is vibrant and textural, highlighted by flavors of Key lime and meringue pie, layered with notes of orange zest, lemon, and green apple. The long, racy finish is marked by exceptional mineral freshness. This wine will take your breath away! (Carl Boucher, February 23, 2025). 245 cases made.

2018 Free Form “Blanc de Noir” Traditional Method Sparkling 🔥 93pts

BC, VQA Okanagan Valley
100% Pinot Noir | Dry | 12.0% ABV
93pts Carl's Wine Club

I absolutely love this sparkling wine. Great texture, perfect weight on the mid palate, soft and creamy mousse, long and salty finish! Basically, this bubbly has everything I want when it comes to a Rockstar sparkling, and the price point is better than good...it’s excellent. With 36 months of bottle aging on its lees and zero dosage (no addition of residual sugar after disgorging), this wine is dry and terroir driven, highlighting the stunning potential of the Garnet Valley Ranch in Summerland. On the nose, the aromas are well layered towards pear, yellow apple, fresh baked brioche, earthy undertones and a hint of baking spices. The palate delivers the perfect level of softness versus acidity, offering flavours of poached apples, peach pie, gingerbread and a long-lasting salty mineral finish leading you back to the vineyard where the grapes come from (known for this specific characteristic). A very satisfying Champagne style wine. (Carl Boucher, October 30, 2024)

Food pairings: crab cakes, chicken fried rice

2022 Meyer “Anarchist Mountain” Dekleva Chardonnay 🔥 93pts Decanter

BC, VQA Okanagan Valley
100% Chardonnay | Dry | 13.5% ABV
94pts John Schreiner | 93pts Decanter Magazine | Gold, WineAlign

This wine is a tour de force. The grapes are from vines planted in 1985 in a high-elevation (518 meters) west-facing vineyard on Anarchist Mountain overlooking Osoyoos. A long cool fermentation with wild yeast began in stainless steel. The wine finished its fermentation in French oak barrels (33% new). The wine remained on the lees for 11 months without stirring, finishing malolactic fermentation in the spring. The wine presents with a light golden hue. There are aromas and flavours of tangerine, ripe peach and butter, with a long, satisfying finish (John Schreiner, February 23, 2025). 322 cases made.

Pairings: Filet of halibut, steamed lobster tail
