This small-batch Merlot Appassimento, made from air-dried grapes in the Italian style, delivers a concentrated and muscular wine. Despite its 16.8% alcohol, it maintains a surprising elegance. A certain freshness on the palate balances the richness of fruit, alcohol, and tannins.

The nose offers notes of fruit preserve, black plum, melted milk chocolate, mint, and dried herbs. The palate echoes these aromas with flavours of plum, fig, kirsch liqueur, vanilla, and nutmeg on the finish. This wine makes an excellent substitute for a traditional after-meal fortified wine.
