2022 Da Silva “Hidden Hollow Vineyard” Fumé Blanc 🔥 92+pts

Bright, fleshy, with lively minerality, this Fume Blanc is right in line with the previous vintage. A fantastic expression of the Hidden Hollow Vineyard on the Naramata Bench. Aromas include lime, lemon twist, orange blossom, grapefruit, passionfruit and oak spices. The palate is soft but energetic, the oak is delicate in flavour but efficient in texture, and the length is impressive. Flavours of fresh lemon intertwine with grassiness and passion fruits while a welcomed vanilla and lemon meringue component fill the mid palate. The finish is bright and offers light spices, probably developed by the toasted oak barrels, and the minerality highlights this wine while taking the finish to the next level. This is a snapshot of the great potential of the 2022 vintage for white wines in British Columbia. I really like this wine! 344 cases made. Tasted February 2024 and re-tasted in June 2024.
