2021 Da Silva “Sun Rise Vineyard” Syrah

From a single vineyard on the “Golden Mile Bench” sub-appellation, this South Okanagan Syrah has the potential to become a classic with just a bit more time in the cellar. A rich, soft and polished style, with plenty of expressive blue fruit, spices and cloves on the nose with black licorice and violets. On the palate, you’ll discover a full-bodied wine, with polished, fine tannins, with waves of warmed cassis, black cherry and plum sauce gliding through a meaty mid-palate. Stays firmly grounded through the finish, with dark chocolate, tobacco, warm earth and lingering white pepper, providing nice textural contrast and additional length.
