2020 Ferox “Silver Lion Collection” Cabernet Sauvignon🔥93+pts

Definitely one of the very best and most pure Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted from Canada this year! I can also tell that there's so much more to come for this wine. An Old World style wine made by Ferox, with a left-bank Bordeaux result in terms of firm structure, bold tannins, and acidity level. Filled with tension, an evident oak profile, and off the charts aging potential. On the nose, aromas of black fruits, dry herbs, leather, and graphite. The texture is rich and also offers precision. On the palate, the aromas are well defined and powerful, highlighting blackberry, black currant, blue plum, dark chocolate, chewy tobacco leaves and a bright hint of vanilla and crabapple on the mid palate. A nice sequence of oak spice follows, then a lengthy charcoal mineral finish. This wine can hit 15+ years of aging if cellared properly. Man that I love that wine, holy smokes!
