An exciting and rare wine, with bright, expressive, Old World style with earthiness and minerality. On the nose a blend of red fruits and floral notes alongside potpourri. The palate is crisp and crunchy with red cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, black cherry, and a long, lingering oak spices highlight the finish. A line of minerality cuts through the wine, making it much more complex and earning it’s price of admission. The long grippy tannins sit on the mid-palate right now, and with time this wine will get much softer. I truly believe that this wine will open up and shine even more in 2-3 more years of cellaring, and even more in six years of proper cellaring.
