What a beauty!!! Incredible finesse and stunning complexity. This 100% Estate Chardonnay, made the traditional Champagne way, was aged for 6 years on its lees before disgorging and delivers a mousse that’s incredibly soft and creamy. On the nose, aromas of lemon curd, poached apple, pear, baked croissant, orange tea and chamomile offer a very satisfying sequence with undeniable Champagne expression. The palate is lively, delivering great acidity levels and a stunning mouthfeel. The flavours are mirroring the aromas almost perfectly, with great citrus components but also a hint of peach and vanilla on the mid-plate for added softness, and the addition of a salty mineral finish, bringing a serious touch to close up a great showing. I can put that wine beside any other serious International Traditional Sparkling Wine, and I’ll guarantee you this bottle will hold its own. (Carl Boucher, November 5, 2024).
