This is the second vintage ever of the Trail Estate Chardonnay and was bottled unfiltered.

 

This one is nervy and directional, moreso than the Foxcroft version, which would make sense since it's estate fruits from the cooler Prince Edward County. A fantastic side by side with the Foxcroft from the same vintage, showcasing two incredible sources of fruits.

 

The structure is the most impressive attribute of this PEC Chardonnay. The nose showcases lime, lemon, nuttiness and vanilla. The palate has a mix between concentration, energy, acid, and pure Chardonnay flavours like yellow apple, lemon, lime, and nectarine. The finish is also sensational, lingering for a long period, leaving behind a nice flintiness and saltiness. (Carl Boucher, July 19, 2026).
