Sourced from the Kismet Vineyard in Oliver, this South Okanagan Syrah is bursting out of the glass. After seven years of aging, it has become soft, elegant, long, and complex—showcasing exactly the Syrah traits I love to see at this stage of its life. This is a Syrah with character. On the nose, it offers a layered bouquet of black raspberry, blueberry pastry, vanilla, damp earth, pepper, and graphite. The palate follows with a medium to full-bodied structure: plush, ripe, and seductively smooth. Sweet, well-integrated tannins and moderate acidity lead into a stunningly long finish. Look for a meaty mid-palate, beautifully blended with mint-chocolate notes and lifted by a vibrant streak of white pepper—a signature trait of South Okanagan Syrah.
