This is rich, structured and layered: a classic Niagara wild fermented Chardonnay, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels with 25% new. The impressive texture leads you to think this wine is much more expensive, providing a terrific quality-price ratio. The nose is super pretty and expressive offering aromas of lemon curd, lemon meringue, peach, lime and a hint of floral. On the palate, softness and richness are on display with flavours of sweet lemon, lemon zest, white peach, nectarine and ginger. A good deal of stoney minerality past the mid-palate enhances the delivery and a long lingering finish shines with oak spices and pepper.  For the $30-35 category, this multi-award winning wine is an absolute stunner.  (Carl Boucher, September 7, 2024).
