2020 Roche "Château" 🔥 93pts | Exclusive Release

From the spectacular 2020 vintage, this wine is absolutely outstanding. Concentrated, rich, and bold, it’s now entering its prime drinking window. Merlot is dominating the blend, and this is now aproachable with great layers and depth.

On the nose, you get cassis, blackcurrant, dark cherry, a hint of fresh herbs, along with vanilla, cedar box and pipe tobacco.

On the palate, the entry is fruit-driven, with great texture and impressive complexity. Flavours of dark cherry, blackcurrant, sage, sweet tobacco leaf, and black plum.

The mid-palate has just the right weight, and the acidity sits at a perfect level, keeping everything lifted and balanced.

The back palate shows a nice amount of well-integrated oak, from 14 months of aging with 30% new barrels, and the finish lingers with a beautiful evolution of spice and fine tannin. This is a brilliant wine! (Carl Boucher, March 28, 2026).
