Round, soft, and rich, all wrapped around a traditional Niagara Riesling framework. The warm and ideal 2020 vintage is expressed in this wine to a T. Let's keep in mind that these big vintages are not always suited to all varietals, but Brian Schmidt and the Vineland team were able to navigate the vintage and deliver everything we expect from a Vineland Riesling - and more! The aromas sing with peach, lime, a hint of petrol and lingering white flowers. The palate is bold with flavours of lemon meringue, yellow poached apple, a hint of green apple, and ripe peaches balanced by a bright frame of acidity. The biggest highlight of this wine? It's fantastic complexity.

Winery Notes: A giant in a storm will stand taller and prouder with an uncommon sure-footedness. The 2020 Elevation St.  Urban Riesling is one such giant. From a year that we would  all rather forget, a magnificent vintage has blossomed and  our venerable St. Urban vineyard was given a clear path to  give its all, and it did. The depth of concentrated fruit is balanced,  yet intense with classic elements of lemon-lime, white  peach, wildflower honey and apricot. Wet shale and dusty  limestone underpins all of the rich fruit elements and the  striking seam of acidity keeps everything laser focused. This latest offering of our signature Riesling confidently takes its  place among its renowned predecessors.
