2021 Bella Terra Viognier | 91pts

The new Bella Terra Viognier is ripe and custardy in feel, with plenty of richness that's well balanced by ample freshness. The alcohol level is in check here, slightly lighter than the previous vintage.

The wine is bright and light on its feet, but remain textural, which is the best of both world, in my opinion. Hints of citrus, apple, melon, white peach, almond and white flowers mingle easily on the nose, offering a lovely introduction to a grape varietal growing in popularity.  

The palate displays notes of buttered citrus, loads of poached yellow apple, honeysuckle, acacia flowers, and spice. There's a great flow to this rich, beautifully textured and balanced Niagara-on-the-Lake Viognier. This wine has enough density and depth to keep for four to six years!
