Flawless! Nothing disjointed here in this Charmat Method Gamay – this is as easy drinking as it gets! Maraschino cherry, ripe strawberry, plus floral and subtle earthy tones on the nose. The bubbles are very beautiful with a medium body, light on its feet and approachable. Flavours of raspberry, crabapple, frozen blueberry and a hint of sage. Light sweetness like strawberry sorbet – and not candy sweetness - at the finish brings a nice flow to the flavour sequence. This is a refreshing and complete sparking with great versatility, from a summer day favourite all the way to the dinner table. 150 cases made. (Carl Boucher, September 20, 2023).
