Zippy and energetic, this Pinot Blanc is a great combination of softness and precision…plus a creamy texture and feisty personality. 100% estate fruits from the Conviction Ridge Vineyard in Kaleden, BC. Just between Penticton & Okanagan Falls, this small hamlet is becoming a hot spot for grape growing in the Okanagan. On the nose, this Pinot Blanc expresses dual components from both the citrus spectrum and the oak spices. Lemon, lime, yellow apple, white flowers, nutmeg, hazelnut, cardamom and even cinnamon. The palate is soft and creamy, and the barrel fermentation and barrel aging definitely play a role on the texture and the multi-layers facet of this complex wine. Aromas of lemon curd, orange peel, white peach and grilled pineapple intermingle on the front and mid-palate until vanilla and oak spice take over for a long and satisfying finish. The structure of this wine is worth noting, showing bright acidity and low alcohol levels: very typical of the beautiful 2022 vintage. (CWC, May 29, 2024).
