This is a big boy Syrah, clocking in at 14.9% alcohol, but don't let that fool you. It's beautifully balanced and outstandingly built from a tiny block of the estate vineyard on the Skaha Bench. These grapes receive wonderful sun exposure, regularly refreshed by consistent wind off the lake.

 

On the nose, this wine displays loads of dark and blue fruit, alongside meaty notes and a hint of floral complexity. The palate is compact and dense, with tremendous Syrah characteristics like smoked meat and espresso coffee.

 

The core fruit centres on dark cherry, cassis, and blueberry jam. The finish is long and, as expected, peppery and spicy. This one is a beauty, and it will drink beautifully for at least fifteen years. (Carl Boucher, May 13, 2026).
