I love this wine! It has great texture and is a wonderful expression of this underappreciated grape varietal. The little town of Kaleden truly offers a fantastic terroir for Pinot Blanc.
This rare wine - only 75 cases produced - spent eight months in neutral oak, which plays a key role in its texture and finish. On the nose, beautiful aromas of orchard fruits like peach, yellow apple, and apricot mingle with notes of orange tea, candied citrus, and cardamom. The palate is soft and fruity—easy-drinking yet offering remarkable complexity. Flavors of poached pear, peach, and apricot open the tasting experience, followed by delicate hints of white flowers and citrus, before oak spices emerge on the finish. A great level of intensity from start to finish defines this wine, which I have rated 92 points for the second consecutive vintage. (Carl Boucher, February 22, 2025). 75 cases made.
