We’ve been talking a lot about the outstanding quality for the 2023 vintage for Chardonnay in Niagara. Divergence Chard was a prime example, and the 2024 is now showing up as a very worthy sequel to the 2023 vintage. These are two spectacular vintages for Chard. 2024 is a little bigger, bolder and richer than 2023, but overall, quality is on par.

 

On the nose and palate, this is very true to the vineyard source: very Grimsby Hillside, very Frontier Block. The peach is a riper peach, the lemon is a sweeter lemon, and everything you would normally expect from Chardonnay from this source is slightly juicier and riper owing to the 2024 vintage.
