Powerful and concentrated, this rare South of France grape varietal is produced by only a handful of Okanagan wineries. The 2021 vintage, shaped by the heat dome, was ideal for this varietal. This iteration from Intersection is arguably the finest Canadian Marsanne I have ever tasted. Its colour is a deep yellow, almost golden, presenting a stunning nose of apricot, blood orange, golden kiwi, honeysuckle, jasmine, and chamomile tea.

The palate is rich yet precise, expressive, and textural, enhanced by six months in a French oak program, including one brand-new “Sirugue” barrel. Flavours of ripe apricot, poached golden gala apple, yellow plum, freshly squeezed pineapple, and vanilla lead to a long, lingering finish highlighting white pepper and cardamom. Surprisingly, this is one of the few wines in the portfolio with an alcohol level under 13.5%. I believe this wine will continue to improve over the next three years and should shine for at least five more. What a fantastic discovery! (Carl Boucher, January 1, 2025). Only 135 cases made.
