2021 Leaning Post Chardonnay| 92+pts

A terrific result for the price point on this wine with a great mix between texture and precision. Two thirds of the fruits come from the estate Senchuk Vineyard, and it was fermented natively in French oak for 10 months. On the nose, this Chardonnay is richly aromatic with bright notes of citrus (lemon curd and orange blossom), melon, and peach. The same profile continues onto the palate with a silky opening that slowly builds to a broad mid-palate and long finish with lingering ocean and seashell saltiness. Crisp wet stone minerality and juicy acidity lift and support the generous fruit and provide the framework for a decent aging potential. A creamy texture carries lush, ripe tropical fruits, ample richness and toasty nuances in this balanced, medium-bodied wine.
