Tawse
2023 Tawse “Estate Organic” Rosé | 90pts
90
- ON VQA Niagara Peninsula
- 50% Syrah, 35% Cab Franc, 15% Pinot Noir
For the very first time, Tawse is using 100% estate organic fruit for their rosé. This 2023 blend—50% Syrah, 35% Cab Franc, and 15% Pinot Noir—is an absolute crowd-pleaser and patio ponder. Not the most complex, but wonderfully soft and approachable. The nose is full of sweet cherry, rhubarb, dried flowers, and candied strawberry, while the palate displays fresh-picked strawberry, peach, Swedish berry, and ambrosia apple. A light spark of pink grapefruit lifts the finish. Sometimes a good wine doesn’t need to be overdone—it just needs to be good. And this version of Tawse rosé is exactly that. (Carl Boucher, June 2, 2025) 250 cases made
Dry | 11.5% ABV | Drink from 2024 to 2027
Pairings: summer salad, chilled prawns with cocktail sauce

Tawse
2021 Tawse “Limestone Ridge North” Riesling 🔥 92pts
90
- ON Niagara VQA Twenty Mile Bench
- 100% Riesling
This is textbook, unmistakably Niagara Riesling! From the north block of the Limestone Ridge Estate Vineyard on the Twenty Mile Bench, these organically farmed vines deliver a wine with soft texture and just enough residual sugar to make it approachable and sexy. The nose offers petrol, orange blossom, passion fruit, and peach. The palate is electric, balancing green apple and orchard fruits with a subtle tropical edge. A flinty minerality lifts the finish to the next level. Outstanding quality-to-price ratio. (Carl Boucher, June 2, 2025)
Slightly off dry | 10.0% ABV | Drink from 2024 to 2031
Pairings: grilled spicy sausage, Thai green curry

Tawse
2021 Tawse “Quarry Road” Chardonnay 🔥 93pts
93
- ON Niagara VQA Vinemount Ridge
- 100% Chardonnay
A wine that shows pinpoint precision and bursts with energy. From the cooler Vinemount Ridge sub-appellation, this stunning Chardonnay was barrel-fermented and aged for only 10 months in French oak to preserve terroir expression. The nose offers green fruit, almond, pink grapefruit, and a second wave of creamy peach and chamomile. The palate is tense and nervy, delivering Meyer lemon, golden apple, pear, and a burst of white spice. A saline line enhances the long, mouthwatering finish. Totally gold-medal worthy. Dry | 12.0% ABV | Drink from 2024 to 2031
Pairings: shrimp ceviche, seared Ahi tuna

Tawse
2020 Tawse Cabernet Merlot 🔥 92+pts
92.5
- ON VQA Niagara Peninsula
- 46% Cab Sauv, 44% Cab Franc, 10% Merlot
Crisp and crunchy, super expressive with lovely and complex aromas. Crabapple, cranberry, strawberry, light pleasant tartness on the back-end. The length is very impressive and a slight salinity on the finish takes this wine to the next level. One of the best roses around again this year. (Carl Boucher, May 14, 2025) 850 cases made.
Dry | 12.5% ABV | Drink from 2025 to 2027
Pairings: chilled spot prawns, black forest ham

Tawse
2021 Tawse “Growers Blend” Pinot Noir | 90pts
90pts
- ON VQA Niagara Peninsula
- 100% Pinot Noir
Dry | 12.5% ABV | Drink from 2024 to 2027
Made from 48% estate fruit and 52% from trusted Niagara growers, this Pinot was aged 12 months in French oak. A very classic Niagara profile—floral and earthy on the nose, with fresh acidity, soft tannins, and a long, complex finish. Flavours of stewed strawberry, blue plum, cassis, orange peel, fresh rosemary, and a hint of sweet tobacco leaf. One of this wine’s best attributes is its versatility at the dinner table. (Carl Boucher, June 6, 2025)
Dry | 12.5% ABV | Drink from 2024 to 2027
Pairings: fresh pasta with tomato sauce, grilled pork schnitzel

Tawse
2020 Tawse “Growers Blend” Cabernet Franc | 91+pts
91.5pts
- ON VQA Niagara Peninsula
- 100% Cabernet Franc
For a few years now, Cab Franc from the 2020 vintage has been a recipe for success—and this wine is no exception. A flashy, complete wine with a lush, sexy style. Aromas of vanilla bean, blackberry liqueur, crushed sage, and leather. After 16 months in French oak, the wine delivers sweet red and black cherry, cherry cola, blueberry jam, dark chocolate, and a burst of oak spice on the finish. At this stage, it’s peaking and beautifully approachable. (Carl Boucher, June 6, 2025)
Dry g/L | 13.0% ABV | Drink from 2024 to 2028
Pairings: grilled NY striploin, meat lover’s wood-fired pizza

Tawse
2022 Tawse “Cherry Avenue” Pinot Noir 🔥 94pts | Exclusive Pre-Release
94
- ON Niagara VQA Twenty Mile Bench
- 100% Pinot Noir
The rockstar of the lineup. In my opinion, this sits at the very top tier of Niagara Pinot Noir. An absolute stunner. The flagship Pinot from Tawse opens with bright red berries, cherry, angel cake, and forest floor. The palate is alive with ripe fruit, tension, and acidity. Raspberry, cranberry, crushed strawberry, hints of black tea, and cinnamon. The finish is long, savoury, and mineral-driven. This is a gold medal in the making… yesss, I said it! (Carl Boucher, June 6, 2025) 260 cases made
Dry | 13.0% ABV | Drink from 2025 to 2032
Pairings: slow-cooked beef stew, mushroom risotto

Tawse
2020 Tawse Meritage 🔥 93+pts
93.5
- ON VQA Niagara Peninsula
- 44% Merlot, 35% Cab Franc, 21% Cab Sauv
A masterpiece of precision and elegance—especially impressive for a bold 2020 vintage. This red blend has everything a premium wine should: texture, complexity, acidity, length, and clearly defined flavours. The nose bursts with red currant, blackberry, cassis, roasted coffee, and dark chocolate, with savoury undertones and sweet oak. The palate is rich and mouth coating, with supple tannins and seamless flow. Layers of dark fruit, barrel spice, and fresh herbs. This wine can easily age another decade. (Carl Boucher, June 6, 2025) 250 cases made
Dry | 13.5% ABV | Drink from 2025 to 2035
Pairings: prime rib, slow-roasted lamb shoulder

Tawse
2011 Tawse “Spark” St-David’s Block Blanc de Blancs 🔥 92+pts
92.5
- ON Niagara VQA Twenty Mile Bench
- 100% Chardonnay
A real collector’s treat—this isn’t something you’ll find on store shelves. Recently disgorged, this traditional method sparkling wine spent 16 years on its lees. No typo—16 years, my friend. Like a true Champagne, it offers tremendous complexity, razor-sharp acidity, and seamless transitions from entry to finish. The nose shows fresh croissant, pear, green apple, jasmine, and salty ocean spray. The palate is generous and soft, with lively, well-dispersed bubbles. Flavours of Meyer lemon, yellow apple, vanilla custard, almond cookie, orange peel, white cranberry, and a long, salty finish. (Carl Boucher, June 6, 2025) 120 cases made
Dry | 11.5% ABV | Drink from 2025 to 2032
Pairings: fresh oysters, seared scallops

Under the longtime leadership of Paul Pender, and now continued by a skilled and dedicated team led by Jessica Otting, Tawse has achieved what few in Canada have: multiple “Winery of the Year” titles at the National Wine Awards of Canada, a consistent stream of platinum and gold medals, and the admiration of critics and collectors alike.
Whether it’s their beautifully textured Pinot Noir, precisely crafted Chardonnay, or their bold, age-worthy red blends, every bottle from Tawse tells a story of place, patience, and precision.
