Fresh and distinctive, the new Da Silva Chardonnay is another stunning release. Sourced from their home vineyard on the Naramata Bench and the OI’Lemke's Vineyard in Osoyoos, this Chardonnay delivers a fantastic blend of citrus fruits vis a vis orchard fruits, with an impressive overall complexity. The nose opens up with captivating aromas of lime, orange peel, peach, tangerine, jasmine flowers and a hint of honeysuckle. On the palate, it displays bright and vibrant flavours of white peach, lemon drop and yellow apple, driven by a lively acidity. The orchard and citrus notes are beautifully complemented by a subtle brioche character, while the American oak influence adds a pleasant roundness, enhancing the wine’s balance and structure. The alcohol level is spot on with just under 13 percent. The finish has a great deal of energy, while white spice develops slowly and ramps up intensity towards the very end.
