Rich and earthy, this Pinot Noir comes from the “Trilogy of Greatness,” the epicenter of Niagara Pinot Noir. 10 metres across a small dirt road from Hank Vineyard, and another 10 meters from the Wild West End Block, these three very distinctive parcels produce very distinctive wines. This is absolutely fascinating. On the nose, the 2020 vintage offers ripe red fruits like black cherry, cranberry, raspberry, black olives, rose petals, and compost-like earthiness. The palate is nervy, filled with tense energy, delivering bright acidity, balanced alcohol with a creamy mouthfeel but a meaty/irony/bloody delivery. Flavours of red and dark cherry, stewed strawberry, cranberry, mocha, sweet tobacco leaves and cloves highlight this fantastic Pinot Noir. (Carl Boucher, August 30, 2024). 136 cases made.
