A bold, approachable and easy drinking Merlot Cab blend. Typical of what I can expect from a South Okanagan red, this wine aged for nine months in French and American oak barriques.

 

Offers aromas of dark fruits, vanilla, a hint of savouriness and loads of oak spice. The palate is concentrated and punchy, and I can pick up the Merlot easily with notes of plum, dark chocolate and fresh herbs. Meanwhile the Cabernet typicity comes up with black cherry, black currant and graphite. I also like the finish that showcases the barrels. A good length and complexity add to the overall enjoyment.
