Sourced from the iconic Golden Mile Slopes near Oliver, this bright and classic Cab Franc demonstrates the full potential of this great varietal in the South Okanagan. The Lightning Rock house style prevails: bright, lower alcohol, acidity-driven...but also the ripeness you'd expect from the Golden Mile. Wild fermented and aged for ten months in neutral oak, this wine is purely Cab Franc for Cab Franc lovers. Nose of red fruits, red cherry, raspberry, red currant, red pepper jelly and espresso. The palate is mid-bodied, well layered, extremely well balanced and flows without a hiccup. Pure flavours of black raspberry, strawberry jam, a hint of cranberry (for a peak of acidity) and highlighted by a long, lingering, spicy South Okanagan signature finish.
