Incredibly fresh, perfectly structured and balanced, this Niagara-on-the-Lake Sauvignon Blanc features a stunning texture. This is Sauv Blanc through and through: really classic in flavour profile! On the nose, this wine displays a grassy side, well complemented by its strong fruity personality around aromas of guava, orange peel, pear, melon and a hint of white flowers. The palate strikes with pin-point acidity, hitting you at the right time. The flavours of gooseberry, pink grapefruits, peach and nectarine are pure and exuberant, while a hint of vanilla transcends the mid-palate towards the finish. A seductive blend of minerality and white pepper enhances the back end of this wine with a very high-level complexity. I’m assuming this fantastic wine has spent some time in neutral oak, and I wouldn’t be surprise if the winemaking team used clay amphora as well in the process.
