St. Urban Vineyard is where the Riesling story started in our country - with vines that are now around 40 years old. On the nose, classic Niagara Riesling notes with slight petroleum and blended with ripe peach, lemon curd, and white flowers. The palate is soft and round, offering an incredible balance between sweetness and acidity. Both components meet at the perfect spot, and there's just so much complexity. Flavours of peach, pear, green apple and lime, followed by that stony minerality that's a signature of the St. Urban Vineyard. I'd like to define the 2023 vintage for this wine as serious but seriously approachable too, with fantastic aging potential. (Carl Boucher, August 13, 2025).
